Mark Aguhar, 2012 – Litanies to my heavenly brown body

Mark Aguhar verstarb 2012 und war Künstler*in, Aktivist*in,
Autor*in,
Philippinx American trans femme.
sie prägt(e) über ihren tumblr-Blog vor allem
künstlerische, aktivistische, trans Communities of Color.

Leidenschaft und Lust neben Verzweiflung, Unsicherheit, Ermüdung,
das kontinuierliche Ringen-müssen um eine*n Selbst
als Verkörperung der Kritik gegen die weiße patriarchale Hegemonie.

It’s that thing where you realize that your own attempts at passive aggressive manipulation and power don’t stand a chance against the structural forms of DOMINATION against your body.”
Es ging um Sichtbarkeit, die sich den strukturellen Herrschaftsformen gegen unterdrückte Körper entgegensetzte.

III.

über Grenzen
über Grenzen, hinweg

Grenzen überwinden
niederreißen.

keeping the boundaries that are the distance at which I can love
myself and you simultaneously.

Verbindungen nachgehen
Fäden ziehen
was bedeutet Solidarität?
zwischen Widersprüchen
Gegensätzen
und Gleichzeitigkeit

was haben sie gemeinsam?

Sichtbarkeit von Körpern
die immer noch bedroht sind.
bedroht sind, ausgelöscht zu werden
bedroht sind, vergessen zu werden
bedroht sind, angegriffen zu werden.
wo die Geschichte, Gegenwart und Zukunft anerkannt
und gewürdigt werden muss

wo unsere Bewegungen verbunden sind.
wo es nicht gelingen wird diese
Körper
Geschichte(n)
Erinnerung(en)
Asiatisch-diasporische, queer-feministische
Solidarität
Kämpfe
auszulöschen.

II.

Mehr als 200.000 Frauen und Mädchen
wurden von und für das japanische Militär
während des Asien-Pazifik-Krieges 1932-1945
in die Sexsklaverei gezwungen,
„Trostfrauen“ genannt,
eingesperrt und misshandelt.

Mädchen und Frauen aus den heutigen
Philippinen, Südkorea, Nordkorea, China,
Burma, Taiwan, Niederlanden, Thailand, Malaysia,
Timor-Lest, Indonesien und Papua-Neuguinea.

Kriegsverbrechen,
von der japanischen Regierung vertuscht
bestritten
kollektiv verschwiegen.

Friedensstatue Berlin.
Birkenstraße Ecke Bremerstraße.
die Aufstellung am 28.September 2020 wurde hart erkämpft
das Bleiben der Statue ist hart erkämpft.
Überlebende und Verbündete kämpfen weltweit seit Jahrzehnten.

Das Anerkennen
der Geschichte
Würde für die Betroffenen

Reparationszahlungen
Thematisierung in Japanisch-Deutschen Communities

lässt auf sich warten.

Mark Aguhar, 2012 – Litanies to my heavenly brown body

Mark Aguhar died in 2012 and was an artist, activist,
author,
Philippinx American trans femme.
especially through her tumblr, she shaped
artistic, activist, trans Communities of Color.

Passion and longing alongside despair, insecurity, fatigue,
the continual need to fight for a Self
as embodiment of the critique against the white patriarchal hegemony.

It’s that thing where you realize that your own attempts at passive
aggressive manipulation and power don’t stand a chance against the
structural forms of DOMINATION against your body
.”
It was about visibility countering structural forms of domination
against oppressed bodies.

III.

beyond borders
beyond borders, across them
overcoming border
tearing down.

keeping the boundaries that are the distance at which I can love
myself and you simultaneously.

looking for connections
pulling strings
what does solidarity mean?
between contradictions
oppositions
and synchronicity

what do they have in common?

visibility of bodies
that are still at risk.

at risk of being erased
at risk of being forgotten

at risk of being attacked.
where history, present and future

have to be recognized
and appreciated

where our movements are connected.
where it won’t be possible for
bodies
history(ies)
memory(ies)
Asian-diasporic, queer-feminist
solidarity
fights
to be erased.

II.

More than 200,000 women and young girls
were forced into sex slavery
by and for the Japanese military
during the Asia-Pacific War between 1932-1945.
Called “comfort women,”
 imprisoned and abused.

Young girls and women from present day
Philippines, South Korea, North Korea, China,
Burma, Taiwan, Netherlands, Thailand, Malaysia,
Timor-Lest, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.

War crimes,
hushed by the Japanese government
denied
collectively suppressed.

Statue of Peace, Berlin.
On the corner of Birkenstraße and Bremerstraße.
the installation on September 28, 2020 was hard-fought
the statue’s permanence is hard-fought.
Survivors and allies have been fighting around the world for decades.

The recognition
of history
dignity for those affected
reparations
open discussion in Japanese-German Communities
is a long time coming.
